Barcelona Legend, Andrés Iniesta Retires from Football at 40

Spanish football legend Andrés Iniesta has announced his retirement from the sport at 40 years old. His official announcement is expected on September 8, coinciding with his iconic jersey number.

After training in Dubai with his family, Iniesta decided to end his illustrious career. “I feel like I would like to continue playing football until I feel it’s time to stop. I’ll try to play and also get my coaching qualification to see what the future holds,” he said.

He also expressed interest in returning to Barcelona. “Obviously, I’d love to return to Barça someday, but I don’t know when or how. We’ll see how things unfold.”
