Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria.

A reliable source confirmed the development to DAILY POST on Wednesday, revealing that she arrived on Tuesday.

This comes after Senator Ekweremadu, his wife, and Dr. Obinna Obeta were sentenced in a UK court for their involvement in an organ harvesting case. Senator Ekweremadu was given a 10-year sentence, while his wife received six years.

The return of Mrs. Ekweremadu has been warmly welcomed in Enugu State, with many residents expressing hopes for the prompt return of the former Deputy Senate President.
