The late Indian billionaire Ratan Tata has left an enduring legacy, with his Rs 10,000 crore will reflecting his commitment to philanthropy and compassion.
Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation (RTEF) is the primary recipient, continuing Tata’s philanthropic vision. Other beneficiaries include his family members, such as brother Jimmy and half-sisters Shireen and Deanna Jejeebhoy, as well as long-time staff like butler Subbiah and chef Rajan Shaw.
Shantanu Naidu, Tata’s confidant and executive assistant, will also benefit from the will, receiving loan forgiveness and Tata’s stake in Goodfellows.
Additionally, Tata’s beloved dog, Tito, a German Shepherd adopted six years ago, will receive unlimited care under Rajan Shaw’s supervision.
The fate of Tata’s 20-30 luxury vehicles remains undecided, with options including auction or public display as a tribute.
The Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation, led by Chandrasekaran, will honor Tata’s philanthropic ideals.
