Popular Nigerian comedian, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel, popularly known as Brain Jotter has paid his tribute to the highlife legend Mike Ejeaha, whose 1983 classic, “Gwo Gwo Ngwo” trended through a viral social media challenge.

Brain Jotter had visited Ejeagha at his Enugu home in July 2024, after his skit featuring the track Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche propelled the decades-old song into a viral sensation.

The highlife legend died on Friday at the age of 95. Brain Jotter shared a throwback video on Instagram of the late musician. The caption read, “39 years ago, he made magic. 39 years later, we danced to it again. Now he rests- but his melody lives forever. Rest in peace, legend.”
