Italian side AS Roma has sacked head coach Jose Mourinho and his entire coaching crew.
The club in a statement said the sack takes immediate effect.
Club owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin said “We would like to thank José on behalf of all of us at AS Roma for his passion and efforts since his arrival at the club.
“We will always have great memories of his tenure at Roma, but we believe that an immediate change is in the best interests of the club.
“We wish José and his assistants all the best in their future endeavours.”
AS Roma can confirm that José Mourinho and his coaching staff will leave the club with immediate effect.

Mourinho was appointed as Roma’s coach in May 2021, leading the team to win the UEFA Conference League in May 2022 and the Europa League final in 2023.
He however has had a poor run of results recently, with Roma currently 9th on the Serie A table, and knocked out of the Coppa Italia by bitter rivals Lazio.
Despite the sack, AS Roma appreciated Mourinho for the Europa Conference League triumph.
Thanks for everything on behalf of everyone at AS Roma, José! #ASRoma pic.twitter.com/yYkKgF7Rhh
