The continental body has levied a 50,000 USD fine on the Libyan Football Federation (LFF).
The announcement, shared through the CAF Media Channel, outlined the following details:
The Libya Football Federation was found to have breached Article 31 of the African Cup of Nations Regulations and Articles 82 and 151 of the CAF Disciplinary Code.
The match No. 87, set for 15 October 2024 in Benghazi between Libya and Nigeria, is ruled a forfeit loss for Libya, with a score of 3-0.
The Libya Football Federation is obligated to pay the 50,000 USD fine.
Payment of the fine is due within 60 days from the notification of this ruling.
All additional motions or requests for relief have been denied.
