Breaking: ECOWAS convenes extraordinary summit on Niger Republic for August 10

The political situation in Niger Republic has continued to generate reactions, especially from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and have announced that it will convene an extra-ordinary summit on Thursday, August 10.

ECOWAS in a statement on its Twitter handles says the summit will see the heads of state and heads of government of ECOWAS states discuss the political situation there, especially after the elapse of the 7-day deadline given to the military junta in Niger.
