The Director General of the Peter Obi 2023 Presidential Campaign Organization, Doyin Okupe, has resigned from the Labour Party.
Okupe announced this in a letter to the National Chairman of the party, citing ideological differences.
Okupe explained that his lifelong alignment with right-wing and liberal democratic principles clashed with the Labour Party’s left-of-centre ideology, making continued membership untenable.
Today I resigned my membership from #LabourParty solely on ideological grounds, I have neither grouse or guile against anyone either within the leadership or membership of the party. pic.twitter.com/an9GrRz5tR
