BREAKING: President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Is dead

The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is dead.

Born September 1942, the leader of the apex Igbo organisation died on Thursday, 25th July, 2024.

Aged 82 years, Chief Iwuanyanwu was elected the PG of Ohanaeze Ndigbo on the 20th of April, 2023 following the death of Prof. George Obiozor.

An associate who doesn’t want his name in print said the octogenarian died in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

He becomes the second President General of Ohanaeze Ndígbo to die in office after his predecessor, Prof. George Obiozor also died in office.

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is a prominent Nigerian businessman, politician, and philanthropist known for his significant contributions to various sectors, particularly in the Igbo community and beyond.

He has been active in multiple business ventures, including real estate, manufacturing, and hospitality.

In addition to his business accomplishments, Chief Iwuanyanwu has been involved in politics and has held various leadership positions within political parties.

He is also known for his philanthropic initiatives, supporting education, healthcare, and community development projects.
