Burkina Faso etched their name in the record books as the first team to secure a spot in both the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals (2025) and the FIFA U-17 World Cup (2025), courtesy of a thrilling 2-1 victory over Egypt.

The Stallions, who had earlier defeated Cameroon 2-1 in their tournament opener, ensured their passage to the next round with a game to spare, thanks to goals from Issouf Dabo and Asharaf Tabsoba.

After a cautious start, Dabo broke the deadlock in the 41st minute, handing Burkina Faso a well-deserved first-half lead.
