Nigerian music sensation Burna Boy recently took to social media to express his frustration with foreign news sites over their coverage of a recent incident involving an old photo of him without his signature beard.

In a now-deleted post on his Instagram stories, the Grammy-winning artist called out The Shade Room and other international media platforms for circulating the outdated image, which sparked ridicule from foreign audiences. Burna clarified that the photo was from 2021 when he had shaved his beard, and emphasized that it was not a recent depiction of him.

Venting his frustration further, Burna criticized the foreign media for focusing on trivial matters such as his appearance instead of highlighting his significant achievements in the music industry. He sarcastically apologized to Nigerian bloggers for their ongoing dedication to reporting substantial news about him, contrasting it with the superficial coverage from international sources.
