Burna Boy, Davido, Tems, Ayra Starr Nominated for 2024 MTV Video Music Awards

Burna Boy, Tems, Ayra Starr, Davido, Lojay, and Pheelz have been nominated for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, representing Nigeria prominently in the Best Afrobeats category.

Burna Boy’s ‘City Boy,’ Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje,’ and Ayra Starr’s ‘Last Heartbreak Song’ featuring Giveon are among the nominated tracks.

Pheelz secured a nomination for his significant contributions to Usher’s ‘Ruin.’

Davido and Lojay were recognized for their guest verses on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational,’ while South African star Tyla earned a nomination for her global hit ‘Water.’

Global superstar Taylor Swift leads the nominations with 10 nods, followed by Post Malone with 9. Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Sabrina Carpenter each received 6 nominations.

The 2024 VMAs will take place on September 11 at the USB Arena in New York.
