Global Afrobeats icon Burna Boy has officially released his eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, on Thursday night, July 10, through Spaceship Records, Bad Habit, and Atlantic Records.
The 16-track project showcases Burna Boy’s signature sound infused with bold experimentation and rich collaborations. Fans will recognize previously released hits such as “Bundle by Bundle,” “Update,” “Sweet Love,” “TaTaTa” featuring Travis Scott, and “Change Your Mind” with Shaboozey. The album also introduces standout new features, including Mick Jagger on “Empty Chairs” and Stromae on “Pardon.”
Chart-wise, Burna Boy continues to dominate:
- “TaTaTa” peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart
- “Bundle by Bundle” and “Update” both climbed to No. 5
In a Billboard France interview, the Nigerian superstar described No Sign of Weakness as an “extrospective” work:
“It’s not just about me. It’s about growth, understanding, and challenging perceptions while staying true to who I am.”
He also explained that the album’s title reflects a deeper message of resilience and inner strength.
“Despite everything that could have ended me, I’ve never shown weakness,” Burna Boy said.
Looking ahead, the 33-year-old Port Harcourt native is set to embark on his No Sign of Weakness Tour beginning November at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. The milestone performance will make him the first Nigerian artist to headline the historic venue.
The 17-date North American tour includes stops in Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta, before concluding with a two-night finale at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on December 17 and 18.
No Sign of Weakness arrives two years after his Grammy-nominated album I Told Them…, which earned recognition for hits like “City Boys” and “Sittin’ On Top of the World” (featuring 21 Savage). Both singles received Grammy nods in 2024, for Best African Music Performance and Best Melodic Rap Performance, respectively.
With No Sign of Weakness, Burna Boy once again proves his unmatched ability to evolve musically while remaining an unshakable force in global music.
