Cardi B, the celebrated rapper, recently expressed her reaction to news that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris was trailing Republican nominee Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. election.

A dedicated supporter of Harris, Cardi took to X, sharing, “We need a Hail Mary,” capturing her concern and hope for a late comeback.

In a now-deleted video on X, Cardi made a cryptic remark, saying, “This is why some of y’all states be getting hurricanes,” hinting at states where Trump was leading, many of which are often affected by hurricanes. The post drew mixed responses, with some applauding her bluntness and others criticizing her comment as insensitive.

Cardi’s political involvement has stirred debate, with Elon Musk, a Trump supporter, questioning her campaign role after a video surfaced of her reading from her phone due to a teleprompter issue.

Musk referred to Cardi as a “puppet,” doubting the sincerity of her involvement. Cardi responded firmly, rejecting the label and asserting that her immigrant background and personal experience with adversity give her a genuine connection to American struggles.

Ahead of Election Day, Cardi openly endorsed Harris, attending a campaign rally in Wisconsin, where she expressed her belief in Harris’ leadership and compassion. Her vocal support and personal story have resonated with many, highlighting her alignment with Harris on themes of resilience and representation.
