English football side Chelsea has named right-back Reece James as the new captain of the club.
The club in an announcement on its website, said the 23-year-old will captain the club in the 2023/2024 season following the departure of Cesar Azpilicueta.

I have been at Chelsea pretty much my whole life. I started here when I was six and to come through the Academy is tough. But to go on and become captain, it’s a great feeling for me and my family”
Reece James who joined the club at the age of 6, has played 147 times for Chelsea’s first team, winning the UEFA Champions League, among other titles.
