Chidimma Adetshina, Former Miss SA Finalist and Miss Universe Nigeria Winner, Heads to Mexico for Miss Universe Pageant

Chidimma Adetshina, the beauty queen at the center of a nationality debate, has arrived in Mexico for the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant. The Department of Home Affairs’ (DHA) recent ruling to revoke her and her mother’s South African documents hasn’t seemed to deter her.

Adetshina faces potential fraud charges, according to DHA director-general Tommy Makhode, but she remains undeterred. Instead, she’s sharing her journey with followers on Instagram.

“UNIVERSE; IT’S TIME!” she wrote. “As I head to Mexico, I’m overwhelmed by the love and support. To the Universe’s gardeners, I ask that you welcome me with open arms. Hear the echoes of a mind on a mission, a story so big and a drive so powerful to call the Universe to action.”

Adetshina expressed excitement about representing Nigeria and promised to share her experiences with fans.
