Miss Nigeria 2024, Chidimma Adetshina, has poured out her heart, thanking Nigeria and Africa for their unwavering support after her remarkable achievement at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.

The 23-year-old model secured the prestigious first runner-up spot and Miss Universe Africa and Oceania title at the Mexico City ceremony, with Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig claiming the crown.

In a deeply personal Instagram post, Chidimma revealed how Nigeria’s support lifted her from a dark period, giving her the strength to persevere.

“Nigeria, you helped me when I was at my lowest, ready to give up on life. You became my strength,” she expressed.

Chidimma also extended heartfelt appreciation to Africa, acknowledging the continent’s love and unity.

“Africa, your support and love mean everything. You fought for me, and my story brought us together, teaching me the power of unity,” she wrote.

As Chidimma embarks on this new chapter, she envisions a society celebrating diversity and acceptance.

“This journey has just begun. I strive for a world where everyone is accepted and celebrated,” she concluded.
