Roma have reappointed Claudio Ranieri as their head coach for a third stint.
The veteran coach, who has deep ties to the club as a former player and manager, returns to lead his boyhood team once more at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Giallorossi announced the news on Thursday through an official statement on their website.
The statement read:
“AS Roma is pleased to announce that Claudio Ranieri is the new head coach of the first team.
“At the conclusion of the season, Claudio will transition into a senior executive role, serving as an adviser to the ownership on all sporting matters at the club.”
This announcement follows the dismissal of head coach Ivan Juric earlier this week.
