Comedian Bovi Announces Father’s Passing, Expresses Gratitude for Support

Nigerian comedian Bovi has announced the passing of his father, Dr. Edward Sagini Ugboma, who died peacefully on February 13, 2025.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Bovi expressed his family’s grief and gratitude for the support they have received.

“We, the Ugboma family, wish to announce the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather, and uncle, Dr. Edward Sagini Ugboma (PhD),” he wrote.

He revealed that the late Dr. Ugboma is survived by his children—Judy, Edna, Bovi, Zino, Tano, Tome, and Jii—along with many grandchildren and relatives.

Bovi thanked well-wishers for their calls and messages during this difficult time, adding that funeral arrangements would be announced soon.
