An Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court has adjourned the assault case involving singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, to March 26, 2025. The adjournment was granted to allow the prosecution to merge his charges with those of his workers, as separate trials were deemed inefficient.

Portable and nine of his workers were initially arraigned on February 6, 2025, on a five-count charge, including conspiracy, assault, unlawful obstruction while armed with cutlasses and a gun, and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace. They are accused of attacking three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

During the hearing on March 5, 2025, Senior State Counsel Timileyin Oredein requested the consolidation of the charges to streamline the judicial process. The court approved the request and set March 26 as the new hearing date.
