President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hailed the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex as a landmark achievement that will redefine Nigeria’s industrial and economic landscape. Speaking during a high-profile tour of the facility, the President described the refinery as “a phenomenal project of our time” and “a major point of reference for Nigeria’s industrial and economic growth.”

The Dangote Refinery, located in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, is the largest single-train refinery in the world, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. It is expected to significantly reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported petroleum products and strengthen the country’s energy security.

During the visit, President Tinubu commended Aliko Dangote, Founder of the Dangote Group, for his bold investments and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s economic transformation. He also praised the quality of infrastructure delivered under the Federal Government’s Tax Credit Scheme, particularly the newly commissioned Deep Sea Port Access Road, which will enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.

In his remarks, Aliko Dangote acknowledged the positive impact of President Tinubu’s economic policies, crediting recent reforms for fostering a more conducive environment for industrial growth and long-term investment. He emphasized that the refinery aligns with the Nigeria First Policy, which prioritizes local production and self-sufficiency.
