David Akanmu Emerges as Best UNILAG Graduate With Perfect 5.0 CGPA

Congratulations are in order for David Oluwatomiwa Akanmu, who has emerged as the standout achiever at the 54th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Lagos in the various categories; Best Graduating Student Faculty of Engineering; Best Graduating Student Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Best Overall Graduating Student with a perfect CGPA of 5.00.

David Akanmu was awarded his best student prize at the convocation ceremony held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

David Akanmu rightfully commanded attention throughout the prize presentation session, garnering an impressive total of 17 prizes in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements.

Ibrahim Abiodun Quadri, hailing from the Faculty of Management Sciences, also earned acclaim as the top graduating student in the Humanities, achieving a commendable CGPA of 4.94.

In her addresses during both the morning and afternoon sessions at the Convocation, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola congratulated the graduating class of 2021/2022 for completing their academic programs against all odds.

She expressed joy for the parents, guardians, sponsors, relatives, and well-wishers, considering it a milestone achievement to witness their children and wards conclude their studies at UNILAG.
