Arsenal’s David Raya and Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels have been named joint winners of the prestigious Premier League Golden Glove award for the 2024/25 season, recognizing their outstanding performances between the posts.
Both goalkeepers finished the campaign with 13 clean sheets, securing their place among the league’s elite shot-stoppers. This marks Raya’s second consecutive Golden Glove win, making him only the fourth goalkeeper in Premier League history to retain the award. Meanwhile, Sels has made history as the first goalkeeper from outside Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United to claim the honor since its inception in 2004/05.
Raya’s consistency and leadership played a crucial role in Arsenal’s defensive strength, while Sels’ heroics helped Nottingham Forest rise from relegation danger to European contenders. Their performances have set a new benchmark for excellence in goalkeeping, proving that resilience and skill are key to success in the Premier League.
