Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has dispelled rumours alleging his arrest during a music tour in East Africa on April 1st, 2024.

Addressing the false claims that circulated widely online, Davido emphasized the need to clarify his status after receiving numerous inquiries from concerned fans and well-wishers.

The singer affirmed his innocence, stating that throughout his illustrious career, he has never faced arrest anywhere in the world for any offence.

The speculations arose from various online platforms on Monday, April 1st, 2024, suggesting Davido‘s purported arrest in East Africa.

Setting the record straight, Davido, in a statement shared via his official X handle on Tuesday, assured his supporters that he had successfully concluded his tour in Kenya and Uganda and had safely returned to Nigeria.
