A Delta High Court in Effurun has approved an out-of-court settlement between Brownhill Investment Company and David Adeleke, famously known as Davido.
Justice Michael Obi of High Court Three, Effurun, praised both parties for reaching an amicable resolution outside the courtroom.
“I commend both parties for opting for an amicable resolution through an out-of-court settlement,” stated Obi.
Brownhill Investment Company, owned by Amaju Pinnick, former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), initiated the legal action against Davido for failing to show up at the ‘Warri Again’ Concert.
As part of the settlement, Davido will return to Warri on October 4 to headline the concert—an event integrated into the agreement.
Following the decision, counsel to the defendants, Oladayo Ogunbe said, “It’s a positive development. Resolving the matter outside of court is preferable to protracted litigation.
“The decision to settle out of court benefits both parties, ensuring a win-win situation”, he concluded.
