The ongoing dispute between social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and comedian Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, has intensified, leading to significant developments involving media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu.

Nedu’s Resignation from “The Honest Bunch Podcast”

Nedu, the host of “The Honest Bunch Podcast,” has announced his resignation amid the escalating controversy. In a statement, he cited “unfounded accusations” and the toll on his peace of mind and family as reasons for stepping back. He expressed that while he is committed to honest conversations, the relentless attacks and misrepresentation have made it clear that stepping back is the best path forward.

Deeone’s Admission of Orchestrating a Trap

In an interview with TVC, Deeone revealed that he orchestrated a plan to expose VDM, using Nedu unknowingly as part of the scheme. He stated that he had been studying VDM for 18 months to determine the authenticity of his claims and methods.

Deeone admitted to setting a trap, believing that if he addressed the issues directly on social media, it would be dismissed as a ploy for attention. Instead, he utilized the podcast platform to test VDM’s reactions, leading to the current controversy. Deeone expressed remorse for involving Nedu without his knowledge and appealed to the public not to hold Nedu accountable for his actions.
