American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs has issued a public apology after a disturbing video surfaced showing him physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway in 2016.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, Diddy acknowledged the gravity of his actions, stating, “That behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions. I was disgusted then, and I’m disgusted now.”
Diddy revealed that he sought professional help, including therapy and rehab, following the incident.
He expressed remorse, saying, “I sought out professional help; I had to go to therapy and rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. I’m committed to being a better man, each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness; I’m truly sorry.”
The video, obtained by CNN, shows Diddy chasing Ventura down the hallway in a towel before attacking her near the elevators at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, in 2016.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, and Diddy’s apology is seen as a step towards accountability and growth.
