The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday rescinded the arrest warrant previously issued against Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod, the manager of gospel artist Mercy Chinwo.

Earlier, Onyedikachukwu, who has had a falling out with Chinwo over accusations of fraud, was implicated in diverting $345,000 from the singer.

Mercy Chinwo had accused him of misappropriating the funds, leading to the issuance of an arrest order by a Federal High Court in Lagos.

The EFCC had filed a motion against Onyedikachukwu, alleging that he diverted funds and withheld royalties from Chinwo’s music sales and event earnings.

However, on Friday, the commission applied to withdraw the arrest warrant at the request of its lawyer, Mrs. Bilikisu Buhari.
