Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has died at the age of 64. He passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, after a brief illness at a tertiary healthcare facility in Ekiti State.

While the official circumstances of his death have not been fully disclosed, reports from The Nation suggest that he had a short stay in the hospital prior to his passing. Justice Adeyeye was appointed Chief Judge on October 11, 2021, by former Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi, located in Ekiti East Local Government Area, Justice Adeyeye began his legal career after being called to the bar in 1986.
