EPL Referees to wear head Cameras for Premier League matches

English Premier League referees will wear head cameras, starting with Jarred Gillett in Monday’s match between Crystal Palace and Manchester United.

The footage won’t be broadcast live but will be used in a program later this year to offer insight into the demands of officiating in English football’s top flight.

The head-mounted device is integrated into the standard referee communication system for major fixtures.

This one-off use of the camera has been approved by the International Football Association Board (IFAB), the Premier League, Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), and the involved clubs.
