Favour Ofili Overcome with Emotion After Finishing 6th in 200m Final

Nigerian sprinter Favour Ofili was visibly moved to tears after finishing sixth in the women’s 200m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Despite qualifying for the final with the third-best time in the semi-finals, Ofili narrowly missed securing a top-three spot, clocking in at 22.24 seconds.

The disappointment was palpable as Ofili broke down in tears, her emotions a testament to her dedication and passion for the sport.

Nevertheless, her achievement marks a significant milestone, as she becomes the first Nigerian to compete in the 200m final since Mary Onyali in Atlanta ’96.

Ofili’s efforts have garnered an outpouring of support and encouragement from Nigerians, who praise her resilience and accomplishments.
