Justice Hamza Muazu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, has granted the former Governor of the Central Bank Godwin Emefiele, bail in the sum of N300 million and two sureties in like sum.
The Judge ruled that the sureties must have certificates of occupancy and titles of properties within the Maitama District of the Federal Capital Territory.
Emefiele is also obliged to deposit all his travel documents with the registrar of the court and must remain within the Abuja Municipal Council.
He is however expected to remain at the Kuje Prison pending when he meets the bail conditions.
The Judge made the ruling on Wednesday morning, although Emefiele was absent as he is already at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
The N300 million bail is in the 6-count charge of procurement fraud leveled against Emefiele by the Federal Government, the case which was first heard last Friday.
