The Federal Government has announced Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to celebrate this year’s Eid-al-Adha.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement released by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.

Tunji-Ojo congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and the Diaspora on the occasion, urging them to embrace the values of sacrifice and faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).

He encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in the country.

The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to people-centered reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, aimed at putting Nigeria back on the path of growth.

While wishing Muslims a joyful celebration, Tunji-Ojo called on all citizens to support the administration’s efforts to rebuild and uplift the nation.
