Edoardo Bove has been hospitalized and has regained consciousness following a medical emergency, leading to the suspension of the Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter.
The game was halted in the 17th minute after Bove collapsed on the pitch. Medical personnel provided immediate assistance before transporting him to the nearby Careggi Hospital in Florence. According to Sky Sport Italia, Bove was breathing autonomously when placed in the ambulance and regained consciousness upon arrival at the hospital.
The Lega Serie A has confirmed that the Week 14 fixture has been abandoned and will not resume today. When rescheduled, the match will pick up from the 17th minute, in accordance with league protocol.
The incident left both Fiorentina and Inter players visibly shaken, with many in tears as they awaited updates on Bove’s condition. The 22-year-old midfielder, a product of Roma’s youth academy, joined Fiorentina on loan earlier this season for €1.5 million, with an option for a permanent transfer valued at €10.5 million.
