A fire broke out early Monday morning at Trademore Estate, a well-known neighborhood off the Umar Musa Yar’Adua/Airport Road in Abuja.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, though a resident named Joe, who was alerted to the incident around 4 a.m., suggested that an electrical fault could be a possibility.

“We’re unsure about the exact cause, but we can’t rule out an electrical issue,” he said. “Efforts to contact both the Federal Fire Service and the FCT Fire Service were unsuccessful due to the intensity of the situation.”

Joe explained that residents eventually contacted the fire service team at Dunamis Church, who arrived around 5 a.m.

“After two hours of fighting the fire, the Federal Fire Service teams from the EFCC and Sauka stations managed to put it out,” Joe confirmed to Vanguard.
