Office of Joseph R. Biden Jr. confirmed that the former President of the United States has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones.

Former president Biden, received the diagnosis following recent medical evaluations conducted after routine health monitoring raised concerns. Further diagnostic imaging and biopsy confirmed the presence of high-grade prostate cancer with evidence of metastatic spread to the skeletal system.

According to his physicians, the cancer is classified as advanced but remains hormone-sensitive—a factor that opens multiple avenues for treatment, including hormone therapy, chemotherapy, and novel targeted approaches. Biden is currently evaluating treatment options with his medical team and remains in stable condition and good spirits.

In a brief statement, Former president Biden said:”I’ve faced many battles in my life, and I intend to face this one with the same resolve. I am grateful for my doctors, my family, and the unwavering support of the American people. My faith is strong, and my determination is even stronger.”

The Biden family has requested privacy during this time as they navigate the coming weeks. The former President remains at home in Delaware and is surrounded by family and close advisors.
