Funke Akindele releases new film ‘Finding me’

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has unveiled her upcoming film, Finding Me, through a captivating transition video featuring fellow Nollywood actors Femi Adebayo and Joseph Benjamin.

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Akindele shared two transition videos on Instagram, revealing the film’s title with the enthusiastic caption, โ€œFINDING ME!!!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€.โ€

The videos showcase the actors transitioning from suits to native attire, concluding with them donning Finding Me t-shirts.

The upcoming film will be produced by The Funke Akindele Network (FAAN), Akindele’s own production company.

However, specific details about the plot and release date have yet to be disclosed.

Funke Akindele is one of Nollywoodโ€™s most accomplished filmmakers. She produced the immensely popular Jenifa franchise and delivered the highest-grossing film in Nigeria, A Tribe Called Judah, which earned over โ‚ฆ1.4 billion.

Additionally, she is behind the second-highest-grossing film, Battle on Buka Street (โ‚ฆ668 million), and the third-highest-grossing film, Omo Ghetto: The Saga (โ‚ฆ636 million).
