Germany have defeated France on penalties to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup football final in Indonesia for the very first time in their history.

Germany who also defeated France in the 2023 UEFA u-17 championship final, became the first team to win the world and European age titles in the same year.

Germany took a 2-goal lead, before being pegged back by a French goal. It then got worse for the Germans as they had a man sent off, followed by another French goal.

The Germans however held their nerves to win 4-3 on penalties, a few days after beating Argentina 4-2 on penalties in the semi final.
