Ghana’s President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama, has paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.
This was revealed on Tuesday by Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in a post via X.
“The President-Elect of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, Presidential Villa, State House yesterday,” the post read.
The visit comes after Tinubu congratulated Mahama on his victory in Ghana’s December 7 general election.
During a phone call, Tinubu expressed hope that Mahama’s leadership would promote stability within ECOWAS and strengthen bilateral ties between Nigeria and Ghana across various sectors.
Mahama, who served as Vice President of Ghana from 2009 to 2012, has held several key positions, including Member of Parliament (1997-2009) and ministerial roles from 1998 to 2001.
