Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has publicly criticized footballer Victor Osimhen for his outburst in response to comments made by former Nigerian international Finidi George.
You may recall that Finidi George, who recently stepped down as the Super Eagles manager, claimed that Victor Osimhen faked an injury to avoid playing in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and the Benin Republic.
In response, the Napoli striker firmly rejected these allegations, stating that he refuses to be disrespected by anyone and labeling Finidi George’s claims as false.
Weighing in on the matter, Gideon Okeke criticized Victor Osimhen’s reaction, asserting that the outburst was inappropriate.
The actor emphasized that the Super Eagles is the only football team he supports and follows, but he felt uncomfortable watching Osimhen’s outburst, noting that life tends to come full circle. He extended his support to Osimhen and urged him to always speak positively.
His words: “Victor Osimhen was way out of pocket with that outburst. Super Eagles happens to be the ONLY football team I personally support and follow. But I cringed for him, watching that outburst. Cos this life plays out in cycles… All Love still Vic… But talk well”
