Controversial Street-Hop singer Portable has reacted to Asake’s newly released single Military, which addresses critics of his spoken English.

In his response, Portable took to Instagram on January 5, 2025, to freestyle a song mocking Asake’s English proficiency. Singing in Yoruba, he told Asake to “get a teacher” and questioned his achievements.

“If you sing one, I’d sing two. You can’t speak English! Maybe you should get a teacher, olodo. Go and get a teacher, you have money yet you can’t speak English. Where you don go where I never go? What have you achieved that I haven’t? Go and get a teacher. I’m not stupid, I can speak British English well. Olodo rabata.

Portable’s reaction has since sparked mixed reactions among fans on social media.
