Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Increases Lagos Minimum Wage to N85,000

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced a significant increase in the minimum wage for workers in the state to N85,000.

During a Channels TV interview, “One-On-One with Babajide Sanwo-Olu,” the governor revealed that the new wage was agreed upon with labor unions, citing affordability and capacity as the driving factors.

Sanwo-Olu previously raised the minimum wage from N35,000 to N70,000, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing worker compensation and addressing the high cost of living in Lagos.
