Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of Bauchi pilgrims by donating 300 Saudi Riyal (approximately 124,000 naira) to each of the over 2,000 pilgrims from the state currently performing the 2025 Hajj.
During his visit to the Bauchi State pilgrims’ camp in Mina, Saudi Arabia, Governor Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the pilgrims’ endurance and dedication throughout the sacred journey. He acknowledged the challenges they have faced and assured them of his continued support.
“I know you have endured a lot over the past few days while performing the Hajj rites, so I am donating 300 Riyal to each of you,” Governor Mohammed stated.
Beyond financial assistance, the governor urged the pilgrims to pray for Nigeria, emphasizing the need for peace, good governance, and sincerity in political leadership. He highlighted Saudi Arabia’s successful organization of the Hajj as an example of what good governance can achieve and expressed optimism that Nigeria could reach similar heights.
Governor Mohammed also requested prayers for Bauchi State, particularly in the areas of security and peaceful coexistence. He commended state officials for ensuring a smooth pilgrimage experience and praised the pilgrims for their good conduct throughout the journey.
Additionally, the governor extended his condolences to the pilgrims and the people of Bauchi State following the passing of a pilgrim from Ganjuwa Local Government Area, who tragically died on the Day of Arafah.
