Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has appointed his daughter, Helen Eno-Obareki, as Acting First Lady, following the passing of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno.

During a condolence visit from Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu in Uyo, Governor Eno announced Helen’s new role. She will work closely with the Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare to continue her mother’s initiatives.

“Helen will carry forward my late wife’s legacy,” Governor Eno stated, expressing confidence in her abilities.

This appointment ensures continuity in the Office of the First Lady and sustains Pastor Patience Umo Eno’s projects, including the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA).
