Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has issued a heartfelt apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman, retracting her previous defamatory statements.

In a letter posted on Instagram, Halima acknowledged spreading falsehoods and expressed remorse for harming Apostle Suleman’s reputation, ministry, and family.

The controversy began in 2022 when Halima fell ill, with her family accusing Apostle Suleman of involvement. Others speculated she had an autoimmune disease.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria recently suspended Halima for defamation against colleagues and prominent Nigerians.

Halima’s apology reads: “I admit making false allegations… I regret my actions and the damage caused… I humbly ask for forgiveness.”
