Hamas says it is open for Peace Talks with Israel, as war enters Day 4

A senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk, says the group is open to discussions over a possible ceasefire with Israel, having “achieved its targets.”

Abu Marzouk told Al Jazeera in a phone interview that Hamas was open to “something of that sort” and “all political dialogues” when asked whether the Islamist group is willing to discuss a possible ceasefire.

A few hours before the possibility of a truce, Hamas had threatened to execute all hostages and broadcast the massacre on live television if Israel continues with its strikes on Gaza.

However, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the Jewish state will continue in its war with Hamas, vowing to defeat Hamas “barbarism“
