Crypto mogul Linus Williams, popularly known as Blord, has sparked widespread controversy online after accusing activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) of mishandling N180 million belonging to the activist’s NGO.

VDM recently disclosed on Instagram that hackers had breached the NGO’s website, leading to unauthorized withdrawals. He added that authorities had arrested a suspect in Jos, Plateau State, and investigations were ongoing to recover the stolen funds. To safeguard against further breaches, VDM deactivated the NGO’s app and promised supporters regular updates.

Launched in October 2024, the NGO addresses Nigeria’s educational challenges, especially in underfunded rural areas. It gained substantial public backing, including a notable N100 million donation from music producer Don Jazzy, bringing total contributions to over N200 million.

Blord, who has a history of online disputes with VDM, seized the opportunity to criticize him on X (formerly Twitter). He accused VDM of theft, alleging that the activist learned such behavior from his mother.

Blord tweeted:
“Fear the loyalty of a poor man! A thief will always remain a thief. @Coolverydarkman na better thief, he learnt from his mother.”

In another post, Blord issued a 30-day ultimatum, threatening to sue VDM for allegedly diverting public funds and collecting money under false pretenses.
“Na this one this boy go confirm problem. If he does not provide that money in the next 30 days, I will sue him for diverting public funds and collecting money under false pretense,” he wrote.

The missing funds have also sparked skepticism among the public, with some questioning VDM’s claims and hinting at possible foul play.

Meanwhile, VDM has assured his supporters that efforts are underway to recover the funds and restore trust in the NGO.
