Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment, adding that she has evidence to support her claim.

Speaking on ARISE TV on Friday, Akpoti-Uduaghan, who has been in a heated dispute with Akpabio, stated that her husband is also a witness to the alleged incident.

Her allegation comes after a recent clash with the Senate President over the sudden relocation of her seat without her consent. The dispute escalated, leading to her referral to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions for disciplinary review. The committee, chaired by Senator Neda Imaseun (LP, Edo South), has been given two weeks to present its findings.

Lawmakers revisited the controversy in a session, emphasizing the importance of maintaining parliamentary rules and decorum.

In addition to her public accusation, Akpoti-Uduaghan has filed a N100.3 billion fundamental human rights lawsuit against Akpabio, further intensifying their ongoing feud.
