Hollywood star, Bernard Hill, has sadly passed away at age 79

The entertainment industry mourns the loss of Bernard Hill, a talented actor who brought iconic characters to life on screen.

Best known for his roles in “Titanic” and “Lord of the Rings,” Hill’s impressive career spanned decades and earned him widespread acclaim.

From his breakout role as Yosser Hughes in “Boys from the Blackstuff” to his commanding performances as Captain Edward Smith and King Theoden, Hill’s versatility and talent captivated audiences worldwide.

His dedication to his craft inspired generations of actors and filmmakers.

Hill’s passing on May 5th, confirmed by his agent Lou Coulson, has sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans, colleagues, and industry leaders.

Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama, praised Hill’s incredible talent and iconic roles, noting the significant impact he had on the world of drama.

Although Hill’s return to the small screen in “The Responder” was cut short, his legacy as a masterful actor will continue to inspire and influence the industry he loved.

His memory will be cherished through the countless lives he touched and the iconic characters he brought to life.”
