In a recent interview with Echo Room, Nigerian singer Spyro shed light on his performance fees and a past disagreement with music manager Ubi Franklin. According to Spyro, his standard performance fee in Nigeria is N20 million.

Spyro also recounted a dispute with Ubi Franklin, which arose from a payment issue. He claimed that Ubi Franklin offered him a mere N5,000 to perform at Iyanya’s birthday party, where Davido was also scheduled to perform. Spyro stated that he declined the offer, citing his standard fee.

The situation became awkward when Spyro was called to perform after Davido, and he had to negotiate payment with Ubi Franklin afterwards.

Spyro’s account provides insight into the business side of the music industry and the negotiations that occur behind the scenes.
